Trequanda, the "terra quandam" that is a certain land, particular. Etruscan land whose name derives from the Etruscan place-name Tarkonte. A quiet, rural, fertile land, so much so that it is the cradle of green gold, olive oil. The three pearls of the territory: Trequanda, Castelmuzio and Petroio have been the scene, despite themselves, of bloody wars and places of prodigies and prophecies. To the blessed Bonizzella Cacciaconti is attributed the virtue of striking the ill-intentioned with blindness and to make them regain with repentance. Not to mention the prophet Brandano with "the great sword that God gave me to take back thieves and sinners of all kinds". A mysterious but reassuring territory of strong suggestion.

The easy and short ring Salimbeni describes well the territory and allows appropriate stops with which to enjoy the peace of the villages of Trequanda. There are, however, many celebrated routes that can be taken from Trequanda starting with Eroica Montalcino, the Gigante Bianco, the GF NY Italy and the Cacciaconti tour, the latter recommended for the splendid excursion that allows you to pass from the land of olive trees to Crete Senesi.
Finally, the Via Lauretana caresses the territory and can be a further trend.
