The long journey begins from Sinalunga, strategic center of the Valdichiana Senese, and takes us to Trequanda and its olive groves. The stage is short but we climb almost always from 268 meters up to 432 of the GATE of the beautiful medieval village.

Long and varied stage that from Valdichiana arrives to the south to the borders of Tuscany. Some stretches of dirt road make the route particularly challenging and technical. Castelmuzio, Monticchiello and Celle sul Rigo are small pearls before arriving at the GATE of San Casciano Bagni, a famous and suggestive thermal center at 570 meters above sea level. The pici of Celle sul Rigo are the best in the world.

Between St. Casciano and Cetona there are only 14 km but overcoming the pass of Mount Cetona, located at 794 meters, is quite challenging. We recommend a stop at the Belvedere Archaeodrome with 23 caves, once home to bears and later sites of prehistoric cults.

Thirteen easy kilometers to the Chiusi station where the GATE is located. You continue to pedal but there may be a train ready for any solution, including reaching Arezzo and then leaving with the bike.

From Chiusi we ride along the lakes of Chiusi and Montepulciano along the Sentiero della Bonifica (Eurovelo 7) and then on secondary roads to reach Cortona, the main cultural and tourist center of the Valdichiana Aretina. The only challenging stage is the climb up to the historic center of the Etruscan city at 504 meters above sea level.

Short and easy stage with passage from the castle of Montecchio to the GATE of Castiglion Fiorentino, a village with an Etruscan and Roman spirit. Not far away, in the plain of the great disappearing marsh, is the birthplace of Roberto Benigni.

We are in the heart of the Chianina breeding and the city of Arezzo, resumed the easy ride on the Sentiero della Bonifica, presents itself dressed up to be discovered with its important monuments and medieval churches.

From Arezzo we go up to the 519 meters of Civitella Val di Chiana, a village rich in ancient Longobard forts. Stage of medium difficulty.

From Monte San Savino, past Gargonza and the pass of Monte Capanne, we descend to the Calcione Lake and, once in Rigomagno, it is once again possible to breathe in the pure Chianina air and meet the White Giant. At the GATE of Sinalunga, a well-deserved stop.
