Born from the experience of the Eroica of Gaiole in Chianti, and thanks to the interest of institutions and agricultural and touristic operators of the renowned area of Brunello, Eroica Montalcino mainly covers the Val d’Orcia territory with an incursion in the Crete and in Val d’Arbia.

The route is mainly set on secondary roads, with a 50% percentage of dirt paths distributed in 9 of the 12 stages. With its 153km and 3073 meters of elevation gain, it is advised to be equipped with a suitable bike and physique.

The route is connected to the Eroica and the Francigena, suitable for long breaks and temptations of any kind.
