GT6 Grand Tour Val d’Orcia - Amiata

The 127 kilometers of an extraordinary journey between Val d'Orcia and Amiata are not many and can be carried out in two days, but the difference in altitude of 2855 km is prohibitive and it is advisable, also due to the presence of dirt roads, to be very careful and be equipped with a suitable bike with wide wheels.

You will soon be immersed in the Val d'Orcia Park, a Unesco World Heritage Site, with its characteristic gullies and cypress trees, and then you go up to discover Mount Amiata, its centuries-old woods and its widespread sacredness, being a place where every religion finds a way to be cultivated with love.

For those who love to transgress and have good time, the summit of the Amiata, with its 1738 meters, can be reached from at least five sides on well-maintained roads with little traffic: make a thought.
