It is perhaps the most challenging and beautiful stage with landscapes that, from Chianti, return to Crete and then settle permanently in the hills of Siena. You cross the «hillocks» that were the scene of the historic battle of Monteaperti to reach Siena having faced slopes up to 15%. The beauty of Siena is not easy to describe and therefore it is better to refrain and propose only to try to taste a nice slice of panforte with vinsanto, maybe in Piazza del Campo.
